Allandale Tarn Fishery is a "Troutmaster Water" and a member of the Association of Scottish Stillwater Fisheries (ASSF).
Allandale Tarn issues a warm welcome to all anglers and angling clubs. Large numbers of natural insects and flies make Allandale a superb venue for trout fishing.
Stocked daily with quality Rainbows, Blue, and Brown Trout. Sizes from 1.8lb to 8lb.
Rod hire, tackle and snacks available in our fishing lodge.

Best bait and tactics
Standard float fishing and ledgering techniques work well on the Iona Bait Pool all year round. Worm, maggot and sweetcorn or Power Bait can all be used to terrific effect. Favourite tactics lately have been 1& 1/2ft drooper from a float with either worm & corn combo or green or pink power Bait.
