Allandale Tarn issues a warm welcome to all anglers and angling clubs. Large numbers of natural insects and flies make Allandale a superb venue for trout fishing.

Best bait and tactics
Standard float fishing and ledgering techniques work well on the Iona Bait Pool all year round. Worm, maggot and sweetcorn or Power Bait can all be used to terrific effect. Favourite tactics lately have been 3&1/2ft drooper from a float with either worm & corn combo or orange or a pink power Bait.
