BAIT COMPETITION 2011

Book NOW, for our end of Summer Bait competiton on Sunday November 13th, 9-30am ~ 3:30pm!
Normally a Fly fishing only water, this event is a rare chance to enjoy a days Bait fishing on 'The Tarn', which is the water in them above photo.
This year we're taking it back to basics, this means strictly live bait only (See rules). Good old bait fishing & simply a great day out! Novices are most welcome!...

A £5.00 deposit is required upon booking to guarantee your place. The total cost of fishing this day is £27.00, based on a five fish bag limit.

RULES:

*Anglers should gather outside the office 20 minutes before the start to go through the rules & so we can answer any questions you may have.

* Strictly live bait only. Permitted baits include Maggots, Worms & Wasp Grubs. (NO - PowerBait, corn, pellets, bread, spinners, flicker spoons, artificial tied flies/Fly fishing, minnows or other chemical enhancements etc).

* Single hooks only. No doubles, trebles or tandems and only one hook on a cast.

* Only 1 rod each to be set up or used at any given time.

* No swim feeders or ground baiting.

* No selecting fish. You must take the first quantity of fish that your permitted limit allows.

* No catch & release. Once your limit is reached, please proceed directly to the office to weigh in & record you catch. (No detours)

* No catching fish for another angler.

* No alcohol to be consumed during the event & please be mindful of your fellow competitors.

* When the final bell rings, anglers should stop fishing & reel in immediately.

*If a fish has been caught prior to the bell, it may still be played in. In the event of this, you have four minutes to land the fish, after this time the fish will be disscounted from the weigh in.

* The appointed adjudictors decision is final.

Please note, anyone found breaking these rules may be informed to immediatley stop fishing & will be automatically disqualified from this event.

* Most importantly however, have a few laughs & enjoy your day!
